Would anyone be interested in a special print edition of pencil talk? (The above illustration is taken from a test mockup.) Just a concept at this point, it would be a newsletter aimed at our usual readership of pencil users, aficionados, artists, drafters, and doodlers.
Yes, of course. Looking forward to the first edition! :)

My geekiness shines with things like hoarding a few pencils. My all time favorites were the ones tied to my dads scale house tare weight ledger…with a length of kitchen string. He would sharpen it with his jacknife of course. Needless to say my love for pencils began there.
I would enjoy a hardcopy of a pencil mag. Thanks for posting, best, Don
The blog works fine for me. Not sure what I’d get from a print edition other than the ability to scribble on it. I recently noticed a disparity between my desire for pencils and my desire for a paperless office. A friend sort of responded about the ability to sniff the pencils… graphite, razor blades, … ?
I work through problems with pencils and enjoy doing so. But I don’t need more paper. I need better organized online tools.
My 2 bits (worth much less due to the dubya era).

A print edition would be excellent! There’s always going to be a place for print.
I’d love one.
My inner Luddite says bring it! If it weren’t for alternative sources of news, lively blogs, and the ease with which one can order cool things from faraway places I’d never use the damn puter ever. It’d be nice to read about and look at photos of cool pencils without being tethered to this retina-burning monitor.
Count me interested. Would it be new content? Do you have the time?
I would just love that. I feel much like BOAP above. It would be more a substantial token of my obsession – something to hold and to have, when the computer is off…
So: go right ahead, please
(Nice layout BTW)
regards
Henrik
Well I’ll sign up for a trial issue.
absolument
I read the blog via RSS feed, so for me it already looks like a newsletter. If the print edition adds something, I would definitely sign.
I would love one!
A specdial subject newsletter would add great value. It would allow consolidation of the fragments of information gathered on the blog and other sites to be integrated in one permanent document (electronic) fpr easy reference.
Wonderful! Send one this way!
Where do I sign up?
My thanks for this feedback on both sides of the question. As I mentioned, it is just a concept right now – there is nothing to sign up for. Part of the idea is that the format would allow for much larger and higher quality photos, more control over the layout, and offer a really fun and engaging read for those interested in or curious about pencils.
It would be very interesting!
I’d be interested.
That’s a very nice idea! I would be very interested in a print edition, not only because I like paper.
Yes, yes, a thousand times yes!
Please let us know if you follow through with it.
Larger, higher-quality images? A really fun + engaging read?
Absolutely. I am so there.
Please do so.
Please accept my appreciation for this positive response. I will try and do it. Again, no promises regarding timelines or anything else.
Yes, yes, yes! Sweet!
“I will try and do it. Again, no promises regarding timelines or anything else.”
All understood. But if you just happen to do so … please let us know. Thanks kindly.
