The site is hard to locate in online search engines and directories, but I’m glad that you’ve found it!
A few thoughts about the site:
Some network hardware that connects to the web server was recently replaced, and I expect that the site will experience much less downtime (So far, this has been true).
Last December, I indicated several topics that would be covered this year, and I check the list from time to time to make sure that we are still on course. Everything mentioned is still on track.
A special greeting to those who don’t actually visit the website, but read the articles through Bloglines, Google Reader, Newsgator, Planet, Newsfire, Feedshow, or other such services. Welcome!

YES, INDEED, I AM STILL USING VARIOUS PENCILS, PRIMARILY FOR MAKING ART- WORK, PICTURES ON PAPER, INCLUDING A HALF-INCH THICK HEXAGONAL STICK OF PURE, WATER-SOLUABLE GRAPHITE, AND YES, IT IS TOXIC, AND YES, THERE IS A PUSH-BUTTON CLUTCH HOLDER FOR IT. I USE THE 9-B, WHICH IS VERY SMOOTH AND DARK, AND RELEASES A RANDOM-DOT WASH, WHEN WATER IS APPLIED TO THE PAPER. I ALSO USE THE KOH-I-NOR, OR CREATCOLOR UNIVERSAL LEAD HOLDER, WITH A PUSH BUTTON CLUTCH, WHICH ONLY HOLDS 5/16″ LEADS OF A FULL RANGE OF GRAPHITE STICKS. THE USES ARE NOW EXTENDING BEYOND ART AND ARCHITECTURE, TO MARKING LUMBER, AND OTHER USES. I AM VERY GLAD PENCIL TALK EXISTS AND PERSISTS, CARRY ON!
Nikolai, thank you for your greeting and comments. Unfortunately, your statements are very hard to read due to the capitalization. May I suggest using mixed case, just as the previous fifteen commenters did.
pencil work is great. I just showed a series of oversized colored pencil drawings- can be seen on facebook under “close to the bone”- everyone liked seeing them and were surprised by what pencil can do. SOmeone asked me if i erased. no, just put the mark where it goes!
people still call them “sketches” though- wht’s up with that?!
